AARP Virginia has canceled the 97th District candidate forum that was set to take place between Delegate Michael Feggans and former delegate Tim Anderson on Tuesday, September 23, at the Kempsville Area Library in Virginia Beach.

Join AARP Virginia for a special Movies for Grownups presentation of “Hidden Figures” on May, 23 at 2 p.m. at the Henrico Theater, located on 305 E Nine Mile Road, Highland Springs, VA 23075.
Professionals from nonprofit organizations, county government, and faith based organizations are invited to attend, along with family caregivers. This is the required seminar for those pursuing Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP) certification, to qualify through the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners. To see if you qualify, please visit the NCCDP website at www.nccdp.org. You are also welcome to come for the education only, without seeking certification.
Over one million Virginians are caring for older parents or loved ones, helping them live independently at home. AARP wants to help, which is why we have teamed up with Mount Vernon at Home and the Alzheimer’s Association National Capital Area Chapter to present a Caregiver College.

This event will be held at the Fairfax County Government Center, located on 12000 Government Center Parkway, Fairfax, VA, 22035. from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 28.
