RICHMOND _ AARP Virginia and the League of Women Voters of Virginia announced today that the state’s largest and most widely-broadcast debate sponsored by nonpartisan organizations has been cancelled for 2017 because Democratic candidate and Lt. Governor Ralph Northam declined to participate.
AARP Virginia and Aging Together will host the region’s only Expo focusing on healthy aging in Culpeper, Fauquier, Madison, Orange and Rappahannock counties, on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m at the Daniel Technology Center.

On November 23-24, 1985, Egyptair Flight 648, bound for Cairo, was taken by three armed hijackers shortly after take-off from Athens. The terrorists were members of the Abu Nidal Organization (ANO), a splinter group of the PLO. There were 89 passengers and 6 crew members on board.
