The Peninsula Agency on Aging (PAAINC) recently presented its 40th annual event entitled the “Community Forum on Aging” at the Hampton Roads Convention Center on Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2022, from 8 a.m.- 2 p.m. This was the agency’s first in-person event since 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
A Londonesque fog couldn’t keep this AARP Lunch Bunch away from their inaugural get together on the peninsula at the County Grill & Smokehouse Restaurant in Hampton.
Joyce Watson is the epitome; a model fulfilling all of the tenets of an AARP Volunteer:
"Just hang up!"
The SEVA Region is starting 2020 off right with networking opportunities on both sides of the tunnel with their perspective "Lunch Bunch" Groups.
AARP SEVA volunteers are putting one foot forward with the addition of two new AARP Walking Groups in the region. Both groups were inspired by the area's first Walking Group in Chesapeake, led by Sharon Gooden-Harrell.
“It wasn’t what I was expecting,” was the opinion of many audience members who attended the Dec. 14th AARP SEVa’s Region Movies For Grown Ups event held at the Virginia Beach Regal Columbus Theater.
