AARP State Director, Bill Kallio, will make a special presentation at the Shepherd's Center of Oakton-Vienna. His presentation, Keeping the Promise of Social Security and Medicare, will review the origins of Social Security and Medicare tracing the legislative history of both programs and how they have changed over the years. He'll review major reforms and how they’ve improved both programs. And his presentation looks at the challenges facing both programs today and outline the policy choices that need to be made if we’re to keep the promise for current and future generations.

They then find that a beloved home does not accommodate an individual with physical or other limitations, to include sight or hearing.

AARP FOUNDATION TAX-AIDE WILL PROVIDE FREE TAX ASSISTANCE AND PREPARATION BEGINNING IN FEBRUARY 2014This year, AARP Foundation is again providing free tax assistance and preparation for taxpayers with low to moderate income through the AARP Foundation Tax-Aide program. AARP Foundation Tax-Aide, in its 45thyear, is the nation’s largest free tax assistance and preparation service, giving special attention to those 60 and older. You do not need to be a member of AARP or a retiree to use this free service.
