AARP Iowa has opportunities to volunteer with its Speakers Bureau.

AARP Iowa equips volunteers to present important information to the community. On-going skills and message training are provided, as well as technical support from the Iowa Office.

Current Speaker’s Bureau volunteer areas of opportunity are:

AARP Fraud Watch Network: Help Iowans learn more about how to protect themselves and their families from theft and fraud by joining the AARP Iowa Fraud Watch Network outreach volunteers. AARP Life Reimagined Check-Up: Facilitate conversations about navigating through life’s transitions by joining the Life Reimagined Check-Up volunteer specialists. Life Reimagined is a new way of thinking about what’s next in your life, offering experiences, tools, guidance and connections.

AARP HomeFit Workshops: If sharing ideas for way to modify your home environment for greater functionality interests you, you’ll want to consider becoming an AARP HomeFit workshop presenter. Share home modifications that can help participants age-in-place and go about their daily activities while staying comfortable, independent and injury-free.

If you’re interested in getting involved with any of these programs, contact Connie Eastman by calling the AARP Iowa office toll-free at 1-866-554-5378, via email at iaaarp@aarp.org or by visiting www.aarp.org/volunteer to learn more and register.
