The award is named after AARP Founder Dr. Ethel Percy Andrus and goes to the state’s top volunteer over the age of 50. The finalists include Charlie Simineo and Tim Sheppard of Cheyenne, and Sheridan’s Carla Crayton.
The clinics will consist of an on-court guided session with licensed instructors and focus on warm-up, basic technique, skills building, and gameplay for players of all levels.

Sweetwater County pets and their owners are looking forward to the 2019 Care for Critters Campaign, which helps seniors pay for food, vaccines and other items for their pets through donations, as well as funding from AARP Wyoming. This year’s Care for Critters event is scheduled for April 22-May 17.
With the need to protect yourself from identity theft and scams never more important, the US Attorney’s Office for the District of Wyoming, AARP Wyoming, and the Wyoming Center on Aging (WyCOA) are collaborating to offer a free presentation on the tech support scam at 12:30 p.m. on April 26.
Students from the Star Valley High School Student Council will take part in AARP Wyoming’s Senior High Tech project at the Thayne Senior Center from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. on May 9. The Senior High Tech program pairs student service organizations with adults interested in learning more about their cellular phones and mobile devices through one-on-one tutoring with students.
