The award is named after AARP Founder Dr. Ethel Percy Andrus and goes to the state’s top volunteer over the age of 50. The finalists include Charlie Simineo and Tim Sheppard of Cheyenne, and Sheridan’s Carla Crayton.
The clinics will consist of an on-court guided session with licensed instructors and focus on warm-up, basic technique, skills building, and gameplay for players of all levels.

CHEYENNE - The Care for Critters program in Sweetwater County is back for its third year, helping Southwest Wyoming seniors take care of their pets from April 23 to May 24 in Rock Springs and Green River.
CHEYENNE - The 2018 AARP Community Challenge is now accepting applications through May 16, 2018 to fund “quick-action” projects in communities across the country. Grants can range from several hundred dollars for small, short-term activities to several thousand for larger projects. The program is now in its second year and is part of AARP’s nationwide work on Livable Communities, helping neighborhoods, towns and cities to become great places for all ages.
