Throughout the course of the COVID-19 pandemic, health and wellness has been on the forefront of many individuals’ minds. While nutrition and wellness is important to many, very few have access to reliable, realistic nutrition information that isn’t overwhelming or sourced from questionable resources.

November is National Family Caregivers Month and AARPNY reached out to New York Legislators so they can share their experiences on being a family caregiver. 75% of New York’s unpaid family caregivers are feeling stressed by having to balance their job and family.
AARPNY is proud to bring back our virtual Cooking classes with Soul Food Chefs, Chef Jay and Chef Qui as they bring you A Cake, a Pie, a Pudding: Healthy Baking for the Holidays. They will demonstrate how to make some of our favorite holiday desserts with a healthy new twist. Starting with sweet potato pie, then moving on to pound cake, and following with bread pudding.
AARP members and guests can join us for a FREE virtual exhibition: A New Light on Tiffany! presented by The New-York Historical Society. This virtual exhibit shines a new light on 100 illuminated Tiffany lamps displayed in a dramatically lit gallery. Learn about artistic genius Louis C. Tiffany and Clara Driscoll, head of the Women’s Glass Cutting Department, discovered to be the designer behind some of the firm’s most renowned leaded glass shades. Driscoll and her staff are known as the “Tiffany Girls.”
