BILL STATUS UPDATE: House Bill 1087 passed the House on Feb. 21 (see AARP Statement) on a vote of 63-33. It passed the Senate on April 16 on a vote of 26-22 (see AARP Statement). The House concurred with Senate amendments on April 23, clearing the way for Governor Inslee's signature.

BILL STATUS UPDATE: Senate Bill 5740 passed the Senate on Friday, March 8 with a bipartisan vote of 31-17. Click here for AARP statement on Senate passage. It passed the House Committee on Consumer Protection and Business on April 2; passed the House Appropriations Committee on April 8; and is now heading to a House floor vote.
BILL STATUS UPDATE: Senate Bill 5292 (see below) passed off the Senate floor unanimously on Feb. 28. It passed the House Committee on Health Care & Wellness on March 27, and was referred to the House Appropriations Committee.
