On Nov. 6, Idaho voters spoke in favor of expanding health coverage. Now it’s time for Idaho legislators to respond by fully funding and implementing Medicaid Expansion as passed by Idaho voters.
On December 15 th, as a proud sponsor, AARP Idaho will help place wreaths on Veteran’s headstones as part of the Wreaths Across America Day event in Idaho.

Volunteers are needed to wrap Christmas gifts for military veterans at the Idaho State Veterans Home on Saturday, November 17th. Volunteers do not need to bring anything other than their enthusiasm. Gifts, wrapping materials, and refreshments will be provided.

To help people in need this season of Thanksgiving, t hose in attendance are encouraged to bring canned and boxed food to benefit the Metro Community Services food bank. Destination Caldwell was recently awarded a 2018 AARP Community Engagement Grant to assist with the implementation of the Articulture program at Indian Creek Plaza. Articulture is a public art collaboration between local artists and community members. Projects are created and facilitated by a local artist while community members are invited to help create and manifest the art together.
AARP Idaho will host a statewide telephone town hall on Tuesday, October 16, at 11:00 a.m. (MTN) to discuss timely health insurance issues that affect older Idahoans, such as Medicare open enrollment, Medicare fraud and the new Medicare cards.
