DURHAM - AARP North Carolina provided Durham’s Healing with CAARE with a one-thousand dollar contribution today to help support the services they provide to area Veterans.
AARP North Carolina is pleased to announce that Consuela Chapman will be working with AARP and partners across the state to help put an end to adult hunger in the state.
RALEIGH, NC – AARP North Carolina expert on financial security and family caregiving Debra Tyler-Horton is leaving to become the State Director of AARP Georgia, after having built an extensive network of volunteers and partner organizations that help thousands of North Carolinians improve their own financial resilience and better handle the responsibilities of caring for older or disabled loved ones.
To honor Veteran’s Day and to show appreciation to Veterans and to our military men and women who have done so much to serve and protect, AARP North Carolina is contributing a total of $4,000 to four Veterans’ organizations in the state. An official presentation will be made in Wilmington, on Saturday, November 7, at “A Celebration of Our Freedom,” a region-wide celebration for Veterans and those who serve.
AARP is honoring Veterans with a Cape-Fear region wide celebration in downtown Wilmington, November 4, 7 and 8 with a WWII style swing dance, a free concert, a precision flying team, movie marathon, kids activities, food trucks, information and more.
