“Get your walk on” every 2 nd Tuesday of the month at 6:00 a.m. inside the Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Plaza. “ Coach E,” -- a certified trainer and nutritionist and regular guest KJLH 102.3 FM's the "Front Page with Dominique DiPrima" -- will be on hand to lead warmups and get your body moving and your heart pumping! He’ll also cool you down after you walk and give you tips on how to live a healthier life every day!
Join AARP on Sunday, September 17 th from 10AM-3PM at #VivaCalleSJ in San Jose, California. Viva Calle is a FREE event that opens over 7 miles of car free streets to bring people to walk, bike, skate, play and explore the city like never before. It is not a race, there is no start or finish line, and you don’t need a bike to participate – you can walk if you want!
Earlier this year AARP published a survey, entitled “ California Dreaming…or Struggling: Gen X and Boomer Financial Security,” which reveals that for the most part Californians are not ready for retirement and it is largely due to housing related expenses. In an effort to combat these statistics, AARP California is sharing tips and tools, bi-weekly on social media that can help you start living your California dream. Here is a summary of what was shared in August!

All our events are free, but in some of them you must sign up in advance. Please notice that some events are in Spanish only.

This past Spring AARP published data that revealed the financial plans of California Gen Xers and Baby Boomers and how prepared they are for their financial future.
