While ongoing efforts by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services have helped reduce the risky off-label use of antipsychotic drugs among dementia patients living in nursing homes, the use of these drugs has increased slightly among dementia patients living in the community, according to a new AARP Public Policy Institute report.

During the luncheon keynote, participants will have the opportunity to meet and interact with the Ryan the Robot and her creator Professor Mohammad Mahoor. Ryan was created to assist seniors and those with memory loss remain independent and engaged in the community. Join us for this Douglas County event that brings together older adults, with cutting edge educational sessions and networking opportunities. The event will offer a variety of additional topics that will interest older adults in Douglas County and help ensure our communities are a good place to Live Well and Age Well!
Did you know ovarian cancer is the deadliest gynecologic cancer? One in 72 women in Colorado will be diagnosed with invasive ovarian cancer. The most common age of diagnosis is between 55 and 64 and the majority of those diagnosed have no family history.
