Join us on Saturdays in September for Downtown Walking Tours in collaboration with the Colorado Springs YMCA. Downtown Walking Tours* are hour-long guided tours introducing the historic landmarks, contemporary artwork, and cultural highlights of Downtown Colorado Springs. The walks are designed to be inclusive and are themed, educational, social events that can bring communities together in a healthy and fun environment.

The Walk to End Alzheimer's is coming right up, and we'd love to see you there! The Denver Walk to End Alzheimer's* will be Saturday, Sept. 15 at City Park.

While ongoing efforts by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services have helped reduce the risky off-label use of antipsychotic drugs among dementia patients living in nursing homes, the use of these drugs has increased slightly among dementia patients living in the community, according to a new AARP Public Policy Institute report.

Join AARP Colorado for NeighborWalks 2018. Enjoy guided walks through some of Denver's most beautiful and interesting neighborhoods. Come meet others in your community, learn the history and join the fun. Walks will be led by a local historian.

Join the Seniors' Council of Douglas County as we present, Vintage & Vibrant, a day-long educational event that will feature a number of exciting workshops and two very special keynote addresses. The morning keynote will be from Karen Brown, the Chair of the 2018 Colorado Strategic Action Planning Group on Aging, and Wade Buchanan, the Governor's Senior Advisor on Aging. During the luncheon keynote, participants will have the opportunity to meet and interact with the Ryan the Robot and her creator Professor Mohammad Mahoor. Ryan was created to assist seniors and those with memory loss remain independent and engaged in the community. Join us for this Douglas County event that brings together older adults, with cutting edge educational sessions and networking opportunities. The event will offer a variety of additional topics that will interest older adults in Douglas County and help ensure our communities are a good place to Live Well and Age Well!
