Attorney General Raúl Labrador issued a consumer alert last week, warning Idahoans on the text/call/email scam that claims recipients have missed jury duty and if they don’t immediately pay a fine, they could be arrested by local authorities or subject to even greater costs and penalties. As with many scams, criminals depend on a person’s law-abiding nature to scare them into making a payment, often through a link or QR code.

Because of the coronavirus, the way Idahoans vote has changed. The May 19th Idaho primary will be conducted exclusively by absentee ballot. Join Ada County Clerk Phil McGrane to learn more about requesting a ballot, party affiliation and voting by mail. This is an interactive online forum and participants are encouraged to ask their questions directly to Mr. McGrane.

AARP Idaho is a committed advocate on issues important to you and your family. Thanks to the hard work of volunteers and staff, the 2020 legislative session ended with several achievements benefiting Idahoans of all ages.
AARP will host a live Coronavirus Information Tele-Town Hall every Thursday at 12 p.m. (CST). Experts at this week’s live Q&A event will address your questions related to protecting yourself and loved ones from the virus, staying healthy and reducing social isolation.
Along with Idaho Governor Brad Little and health officials, AARP Idaho will host their fourth statewide telephone town hall to provide updated information and answer questions regarding the coronavirus in Idaho. Lupe Wissel, AARP Idaho state director, will moderate the call.
