Every day, millions of Americans lose their hard-earned money to identity theft and other types of scams. Last year alone, 12.6 Americans were victims of identity theft. That’s one person victimized every two seconds!
Home repair scams top the New Hampshire Attorney General’s office and Better Business Bureau’s list of frauds and scams in New Hampshire. These scams become regular when the snow melts and homeowners' minds turn to improvement projects and spring clean-up.
It’s been a long New Hampshire winter and it’s time to get outside and have some fun! AARP is offering four different outdoor activities in collaboration with the Massabesic Audubon Center. Here’s what’s on tap:
New frauds and scams seem to crop up daily. Identity theft, investment fraud and scams rob millions of Americans of their hard-earned money. Last year, 13 million people were the victims of identity theft alone. That’s one person every two seconds!

Take the first step and learn to better manage your money with AARP Foundation Finances 50+℠ workshops – May 13, 20 and 27 – at the Brookside Congregational Church in Manchester
The Palace Theatre – in celebration of its 100 th anniversary – is offering AARP members and their guests a $10 discount to Godspell. The discounted performances will be held April 3 through Aprill 11 at The Palace Theatre, 72 Hanover Street, in downtown Manchester. There are both 2:00 pm and 7:30 pm performances.
