WINSTON-SALEM, NC — Take a STEP toward better health and join a free walking program in Winston-Salem. Now in its fourth year, each walk is led by a local healthcare provider and is open to people of all ages and abilities.

And many do not just how important social media – such as LinkdIn – is to employers in finding new talent. That is why AARP is offering workshops specifically for older workers in the Queen City.

CHARLOTTE — Like the rest of the nation, North Carolinians have historically low personal savings rates that threaten the confidence people have of living securely in their retirement.
Charlotte traffic can be a nightmare!. Keeping safe on the roads is a concern to all of us, especially those of us with aging parents. How do you know when it's time for your loved one to limit or stop driving?
RALEIGH – AARP North Carolina today released a new election year poll showing that 50+ voters in November elections worry a secure retirement could be out of reach for them. Voters also want to see candidates who focus on improving their financial security, as they believe incomes have not kept up with their cost of living, especially health costs, taxes and retirement security.
To express heartfelt gratitude to the volunteer leaders and organizations who are working to support AARP’s vision and mission, AARP North Carolina’s staff and Executive Council held a special awards ceremony in July.
