AARP testified in favor legislation to regulate cryptocurrency ATMs in Massachusetts. The bill includes fee caps, daily limits, and transparency, The effort has strong backing from law enforcement and follows similar AARP-led laws in 18 states.
AARP Massachusetts State Director Jen Benson testified in favor of a bill that will help the 780,000 caregivers in Massachusetts with a $1500 tax credit, work place protection, respite vouchers and allowing spouses to be paid as a caregiver among other provisions.
On Sept. 16, incremental changes to the City of Madison’s zoning ordinance were introduced at a Common Council meeting in an effort to support increased housing choices for homeowners. AARP supports more options for Madisonians age 50-plus to remain living in their neighborhoods should their current home no longer suit their life stage needs.
