AARP Massachusetts is proud to announce that Anne and Tom Eisenman of Springfield, MA have been selected as the recipients of the 2025 AARP Massachusetts Andrus Award for Community Service, the association’s most prestigious volunteer honor. Named for AARP founder Dr. Ethel Percy Andrus, this award celebrates individuals who embody the principles of service and make a lasting impact in their communities.
The Massachusetts House of Representatives passed a landmark bill creating its first-ever Caregiver Commission—during National Family Caregivers Month. AARP MA thanks legislators for championing the 1.4M caregivers across the Commonwealth
As of November 1, 2025, millions of Americans—including many older adults—may not receive their monthly food benefits through the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) due to the ongoing federal government shutdown. This disruption affects individuals living on fixed incomes, many of whom rely on SNAP to afford groceries and maintain their health.

El Negociado Federal de Investigaciones (FBI) estableció el “Centro de quejas sobre el crimen por internet’’ (conocido como IC3), una herramienta para que el público pueda reportar estafas y crímenes cibernéticos. El IC3 recibe y analiza las querellas para rastrear estafadores y la sofisticación de los esquemas de fraude por internet. El FBI utiliza la información provista para sus investigaciones y hacer lo posible por ayudar las víctimas para recuperar sus pérdidas.
