APS’s application seeks to increase electricity rates for residential customers by double digits
It’s open enrollment season, which also means it’s Medicare fraud season. Eligible beneficiaries have until December 7th to shop for the best deal for their health care dollar. Unfortunately, some of the deals offered won’t be deals at all.
AARP Massachusetts supports An Act Allowing Spouses to Serve as Caregivers. Senate Bill no. 67/House Bill no. 216. AARP submitted testimony to the Massachusetts Legislature Joint Committee on Children, Families and Joint Committee on Children, Families and Persons with Disabilities
Hayworth won the award through a vote on AARP Wyoming’s Facebook page, and the AARP Wyoming email distribution list. In total, Hayworth received over 760 votes, beating her closest competition by over 400 votes.
LeBlanc has been director of the Laramie County Senior Center since February of 2020. The Laramie County Senior Center served close to 40,000 congregate meals in 2023, one of three programs offered under the Laramie County Senior Services Program. In its supportive services program, the Senior Center offers help to nearly 9,500 Laramie County residents.
With the impacts of opioids remaining in the news in recent months, AARP Montana and Mountain-Pacific Quality Health have teamed up to provide new information on opioid safety, pain management, and reducing harm in our communities. It has been called the “most consequential preventable public health problem in the United States.”
Castleberry is the franchise owner for the UPS Store in Gillette. Earlier this year a woman came into Castleberry’s UPS store and asked to ship what she said was a book. The woman then asked for $5,000 in insurance to ship what she said was a book.
Schatz is no stranger to volunteering for AARP, or various other groups in Sheridan County. The long-time Sheridan-area educator spent six years on the AARP Wyoming Executive Council and is a key member of the Sheridan Community Action Team. Last year he was nominated for the Andrus Award honoring the state’s top volunteer age 50 and over.
