Here is a simple fact. When you board horses, dogs and other animals, you never get bored! At 77, Joanne Mead is the picture of good health and vitality. She owns a 7 acre horse boarding ranch and dog kennel for the last 45 years and takes care of other animals too. And that, she acknowledges, helps keep her going physically with a little help from friends, family and volunteers. And in her spare time? (Yes she does have some.) She plays music from heavy metal to country.

It pays to look closely at your credit card statement. You may see a "test charge," - a small charge, like $1. It may seem insignificant but it could be a sign tat a scammer has stolen your credit card and is testing it with a small amount to see if it works. Some merchants legitimately place a test charge on your account appearing to come from gas stations or hotel; these charges eventually drop off. But if you see a small charge and can't identify the merchant, contact your credit card company immediately.

AARP Wisconsin is urging state lawmakers to introduce a bill in 2017 that could help more private-sector workers save for retirement. The Work and Save bill would create a simple payroll-deduction plan that small businesses could offer to their workers.
