Supporting family caregivers, enhancing retirement security, and helping Kentuckians live independently are among AARP Kentucky’s top state legislative priorities.

Español The AARP survey, entitled “ California Dreaming…or Struggling: Gen X and Boomer Financial Security,” reveals that for the most part Californians are not ready for retirement and it is largely due to housing related expenses. AARP California wants to help you take control of your finances. We are sharing DIY tips and tools bi-weekly on social media to help you save more or begin to save. Here is a summary of what was shared in November!

Like many Americans, you've probably started thinking about the future and your loved ones' futures.

Mayor Jim Gray and Monica Conrad, Lexington Parks & Recreation Director, joined with local residents and AARP Kentucky to unveil the completed project in Idle Hour Park. Lexington was one of two recipients of an AARP Community Challenge Grant in Kentucky.

AARP Alabama congratulates David Ioffreda for achieving the rank of Eagle Scout. As part of his project work to earn this great achievement, David organized a group of fifteen teens to assist seniors in learning about technology through teaching Saturday classes. AARP Alabama supported David in developing the classes, where older adults learned about Facebook, safe internet surfing, and even more complex programs like Excel.
