St. Louisan Mary Tillman has been selected the new AARP Missouri State Coordinator for the Driver Safety Program (DSP). Appointed at the onset of this year, Tillman joined the DSP as an instructor in 2006 and was designated a Zone Coordinator shortly thereafter.

Americans age 50-plus increasingly are using social media, and AARP is tapping into that trend to hear what people have to say about Social Security, caregiving, transportation, livable communities, retirement planning and other issues.

Tia Scigulinsky of Portsmouth has been selected to participate in AARP’s Volunteer Leadership Institute or VLI, a rigorous and innovative year-long training program designed to elevate highly skilled and motivated AARP volunteers to the next level of volunteer leadership. Tia is joined by 33 other exceptional AARP volunteers from across the country, who will meet both in person and virtually throughout the year to build their leadership strengths in one of three chosen “tracks” – advocacy, community outreach or external representation.
As two pioneers in the field of education, Teresa Reed and Irene Martinez Jordan bring decades of experience, common sense and activism to the 26-member advocacy team at AARP Colorado.
