AARP will host a live Coronavirus Information Tele-Town Hall every Thursday at 12 p.m. (CST). Experts at this week’s live Q&A event will address your questions related to protecting yourself and loved ones from the virus, staying healthy and reducing social isolation.

This includes all fraud and shredding events previously promoted as part of our Operation: Stop Scams tour in April. While convening events is a core part of our mission, we have changed our approach in light of the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.

The month of March is upon us which means we are nearing the end of South Dakota's 2020 legislative session!

Milbank, a town of more than 3,000 residents in the northeastern region, has joined Sioux Falls as the second municipality in South Dakota to become a part of AARP’s Network of Age-Friendly States and Communities.

There are just two weeks left in the 2020 South Dakota legislative session but our work is not done! Just yesterday, we hosted a live telephone town hall with South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem to discuss expanding high-speed internet access in South Dakota. With Week 5 in the books, we have reached the half way point of the 2020 South Dakota legislative session.

As we enter February, the pace in Pierre is picking up! The deadline for introducing bills was Thursday and when all is said and done, the legislature will consider over 400 bills, resolutions and commemorations this year.
