With 2020 Census Pending, Findings Show Many May Not Recognize Expected Census Scams
The Conference to Defeat Fraud and Scams, sponsored by AARP Wyoming’s Casper Action Team, is set for Feb. 21
Consumer fraud schemes escalate each year during the holidays, and a new research report, “Seasons Cheatings,” from the AARP Fraud Watch Network finds that a significant number of consumers are at risk of becoming victimized by common seasonal scams.
Nope – no one will call you to serve you with a warrant over-the-phone. When a scammer calls, keep yourself in a calm state, and always report an attempted scam to the Federal Trade Commission.
