A new AARP survey, released in conjunction with Social Security’s 90th anniversary, confirms that Americans highly value Social Security, and even more so than five years ago. The vast majority of Americans – 95% of Republicans, 98% of Democrats, and 93% of Independents – consider Social Security vital to the financial security of all Americans, and 67% believe it is even more important for retirees than it was five years ago.

On May 16, Governor Jared Polis signed into law SB19-005, Import Prescription Drugs From Canada, a bill sponsored by Senators Joann Ginal and Robert Rodriguez, as well as Rep. Sonya Jaquez Lewis, to lower the cost of prescription drugs for Coloradans by importing them from Canada.

After the initial cancer diagnosis, most patients have a structured treatment plan with appointments, and a time structure. As the caregiver, you are adjusting your life to help the patient with medications, getting to the doctor visits, and handling the everyday responsibilities of running the household, and trying to continue a job, business, or career of your own. You will try to balance ‘his/her needs and your own. If you have children, you are also trying to maintain a ‘normal’ family life and keep your own fears and concerns to yourself and not burden them.
