In fact, Social Security fuels almost $1.4 trillion of economic activity nationally – and almost $6.6 billion right here in New Hampshire – according to a new study by AARP’s Public Policy Institute.

AARP New Hampshire and New Hampshire Pharmacists Association will host a free event in Concord to help older adults better manage their prescription and over-the-counter medications. Held on October 16, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, at the new Centennial Senior Center in Concord, Make the Most of Your Meds and More! features brown bag medication reviews, screenings, educational sessions, and more. And it’s all free and open to the public.

The Currier Museum of Art is offering special deals and a special program for AARP members all day Saturday, October 19. New Hampshire residents arriving before noon will receive free admission. After noon, AARP members will receive $1 off admission, with a discounted rate of $9.
