AARP Oklahoma Sends Thousands of Petitions from OG&E Customers to
Oklahoma Corporation Commissioners
AARP Oklahoma leadership and volunteers are sending nearly 7,000 petitions to Oklahoma Corporation Commissioners Murphy, Hiett and Anthony Tuesday morning. The petitions from OG&E customers urged the commissioners to deny OG&E’s proposed $164 million OG&E rate hike which would cost customers approximately $10 per month.
The free tours will highlight the park’s seasonal horticulture and wildlife.

Applications are now being accepted for the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP), a $14.2 billion federal program created late last year as part of the bipartisan infrastructure bill.
AARP Oklahoma is urging state lawmakers to support a new bill to provide unpaid family caregivers of older adults a much-needed tax break. The Caring for Caregivers Act would provide financial relief to family caregivers who pay for items such as home safety modifications, medical equipment or home health care to help keep their loved ones at home. It would also help mitigate more costly taxpayer-funded nursing home expenses.
