Starting in 2025, Medicare will implement several significant changes, some of which are thanks to the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022, championed by AARP. In the run-up to the Nov. 8 gubernatorial election, AARP Oregon is presenting a series of issue-oriented online town halls, featuring topics important to those 50-plus. The state office will share with gubernatorial candidates the concerns that emerge from the 75-minute sessions.
AARP Oregon is hosting a series of virtual town hall events from mid-June to mid-September to educate voters about topics such as caregiver support, age discrimination, financial security, fraud and aging in place. The state office plans to share the feedback with the candidates running for governor before the Nov. 8 election.
