AARP Wyoming is offering its members a chance to win one of 25 shredders as part of its 2021 Virtual Shred-a-thon event in October. The sweepstakes will be active from Oct. 4-18.
Be on the lookout for scammers
The Pleasanton Lincoln Library in Linn County will receive a 2021 livable community grant from AARP Kansas to create a private area within the library to allow older residents and their families access to a computer.
Wichita’s Sunnyside Neighborhood Association will receive a 2021 livable community grant from AARP Kansas to make improvements to the Grandparents Park located at Kellogg and Estelle. Sunnyside will implement a quick-action project to add picnic tables and landscaping to the park which was developed in 2013 by Sunnyside, the Central Plains Area Agency on Aging, the City of Wichita and AARP Kansas.
