AARP volunteer speakers are fanning out across Oahu and Hawaii island this week to talk about financial issues ranging from fraud to social security and preparing for retirement.
Through a recently launched campaign called Enough is Enough, AARP Illinois is encouraging state residents to demand that their elected officials come up with a plan to balance the state budget.

AARP and the Microsoft Store at Oak Park Mall in Overland Park have teamed up to offer a variety of free computer classes on topics from keeping safe online to operating systems to social media. There will be different classes each month to help you learn to use your digital resources better. If you want to learn to manage your digital photos, communicate with Skype and social media, or just learn more about using your computer, these classes can help! All classes are from 10-11 AM and the doors open at 9:30 AM. Space is limited.
Although she walked in the University of Mary graduation ceremony April 29, Bismarck resident Cassidy Kraft has one more task to complete before earning her degree in mass communication, with a minor in marketing. Kraft began a 13-week internship June 5 at AARP North Dakota. She will focus on communication projects including; social media, volunteer recruitment, campaign planning and implementation, and event planning.
AARP is now accepting applications for Community Challenge grants to fund projects that spark change in local communities. The grant program is part of AARP’s nationwide Livable Communities initiative that aims to make our communities great places to live for everyone.
