AARP Foundation Tax-Aide, in its 48th year, is the nation’s largest free tax assistance and preparation service, giving special attention to the older population. Taxpayers do not need to be a member of AARP or a retiree to use this service.

State Legislators in Santa Fe are facing some difficult financial decisions as budget projections of $232 million in new money have dwindled to $30 million. As the debate gets ready to enter the Senate, AARP New Mexico is watching budget negotiations to ensure that senior services and programs are maintained.

Each Friday during the legislative session, AARP Oregon will post the testimony given to the Oregon State Legislature on pending bills. We are working with our appointed volunteers to make sure the needs and interests of people 50+ are well represented.
