En Español | Are you one of the thousands of Californians who received free tax preparation or assistance through AARP Foundation Tax-Aide last year? The program is back in 2014, marking the 45th year that Tax-Aide will be providing free, individualized tax help to low- to moderate-income taxpayers, with a special focus on those age 60 and older. However, you don't need to be retired or an AARP member to use the service - no one will be turned away.
This year, AARP Foundation is again providing free tax assistance and preparation for taxpayers with low to moderate income through the AARP Foundation Tax-Aide program. AARP Foundation Tax-Aide, in its 45th year, is the nation's largest free tax assistance and preparation service, providing free tax assistance to Texans of any age and giving special attention those 60 and older. You do not need to be a member of AARP or a retiree to use this free service.

Starting Sunday, January 26th, it will cost you a bit more to mail that card or letter. The price of a first-class stamp will increase by three cents, from $0.46 to $0.49.

AARP is continuing that fight by kicking off a Georgia campaign to fight identity theft and fraud through its Fraud Watch Network Campaign. The AARP Fraud Watch Network is a campaign to fight identity theft and fraud and give you access to information to protect yourself and your family.
Need help preparing your taxes? From Feb. 1 – April 15, AARP Foundation’s Tax-Aide program provides free tax preparation help to people with low to moderate incomes. About 175 trained volunteer tax specialists provide service at more than 40 sites throughout Alabama.
