Hashtags, emojis, tweets and memes. The vocabulary of modern online communication is only part of the challenge for people who are not familiar with the world of posting and tweeting. To help Nevadans age 50-plus enjoy the social media universe that their kids and grandchildren inhabit, AARP Nevada and the City of Henderson are offering free classes in Facebook and Twitter.

AARP TEK ( Technology, Education y Knowledge por sus siglas en inglés), presentará talleres divertidos y prácticos en tu área para ayudarte a que obtengas el máximo provecho de tu “smartphone”. Nuestros amables guías TEK responderán a tus preguntas y además recibirás un teléfono móvil inteligente para que practiques mientras estás en el taller. Además de la experiencia práctica, todos los participantes recibirán gratis un bolígrafo para pantalla táctil y una guía para llevarse a casa. Encuentra una ubicación cerca de ti con los cursos que satisfagan tus necesidades e intereses.

AARP TEK will present fun, FREE, hands-on workshops in your area to help you get the most out of your tablet. Friendly TEK Guides will answer all of your questions and an smartphone will be provided for your hands-on practice while attending the workshop. In addition to hands-on experience, all participants will also receive a free touchscreen stylus pen and take-home guidebook. Hacemos esto al brindarles las herramientas necesarias para protegerse contra las tácticas fraudulentas que utilizan los estafadores para robar millones de dólares a millones de personas cada año.

Learn the latest about how to protect yourself and your family online at Fraud Watch Network workshops AARP is sponsoring during evenings this summer at the Microsoft Store at Beachwood Place, 26300 Cedar Road, Space 1410, Beachwood, OH 44122.

All participants will get a hands-on experience with their Android Smartphones as well as a free touchscreen stylus pen. All registrants must bring their own Android Smartphone to get the Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) experience. This AARP event is fun and free, but seating is limited. Classes are filling up fast!
