Prepare to Care workshops are one of AARP Ohio’s initiatives—along with advocating for caregiver tax credits and more home-based services—to improve conditions for family caregivers in the state.

AARP is backing two pieces of legislation aimed at curbing drug prices, by providing those who prescribe them unbiased information on pharmaceuticals and mandating more transparency on how manufacturers set the costs of prescription meds.

AARP Alabama is seeking nominations for the 2019 AARP Andrus Award for Community Service. The association's most prestigious volunteer tribute recognizes outstanding individuals age 50 and older who are sharing their experience, talents and skills to enrich the lives of others.

AARP Hawai‘i is now accepting nominations for its 2019 Andrus Award for Community Service, which honors Hawai‘i residents 50+ who are sharing their experience, talent, and skills to enrich the lives of their community members.

The AARP Locust Grove Chapter 5239 work in their community is very extensive from helping veterans, organizing food drives, and more. Learn about their work and join them in the community. They meet the third Monday of every month at the Lake of the Woods Clubhouse. The meeting begins at 9:00 a.m. for coffee, snacks, and socializing, the actual meeting starts at 10:00 a.m. and always has a guest speaker.
