We celebrate Black History Month with our volunteers and new friends. The 2024 theme, “Amplifying Artists of Every Age” featured both well-known local artists and musicians.

Give your time and talent — in person or from home — to improve the lives of older Americans and their families. We are looking for volunteers across North Dakota to make a difference in your community.

We currently are accepting applications for new Executive Council members to serve a two-year term. The Executive Council helps advance AARP's mission in Ohio, provides direction and leadership, and represents AARP in the community.

ANNAPOLIS, MD (March 4, 2024)— A red tide of AARP Maryland members will converge on Annapolis this Thursday, March 7, for the organization’s annual lobby day to connect with lawmakers and raise awareness of issues of importance to Marylanders aged 50 and over, including prescription drug affordability, support for family caregivers, long-term care oversight, consumer protections, affordable gas and electric and retiree tax relief.

Cassandra Addison is AARP South Carolina’s new volunteer state president, helping lead advocacy efforts to address health care access, Social Security protections, brain health and caregiving.

Residents are coming together to perform "walk audits" in their communities. When they did so in Birmingham, they helped improve street safety in the city.

When Brenda Lanphere and Beth Smith met five years ago, the two Aberdeen residents were already active AARP volunteers. But the women knew they could achieve even more together and quickly got to work.
