Fairfax County has announced the availability of a number of affordable one-level condos designed for older adults. The condos are located in a new 55+ community called Crest of Alexandria on Telegraph Road between Kingstowne and Fort Belvoir and close to shopping and other amenities. AARP has reserved a section of Brittany’s Restaurant and Sports Bar for members and their guests to enjoy dinner together. Discounted meals, which include salad and non-alcoholic drinks, are $12.00 including tax and tip. Come as you are and leave as you wish anytime between 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.

Alexandria residents are invited to a presentation on creating livable communities, Wednesday, June 21 at Beatley Central Library at 5005 Duke St., Alexandria, VA from 10 a.m. to noon. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m, and light refreshments will be served.
