Fairfax County has announced the availability of a number of affordable one-level condos designed for older adults. The condos are located in a new 55+ community called Crest of Alexandria on Telegraph Road between Kingstowne and Fort Belvoir and close to shopping and other amenities. It’s known as the Star City of the South, a gem nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains that has become a cultural, recreational and business hub of the region. And now, the historic city of Roanoke has earned another appealing distinction: designation as an AARP Age-Friendly Community.

AARP has reserved a section of Brittany’s Restaurant and Sports Bar for members and their guests to enjoy dinner together. Discounted meals, which include salad and non-alcoholic drinks, are $12.00 including tax and tip. Come as you are and leave as you wish anytime between 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.
