AARP District of Columbia is looking for people to join the Friendly Voices program, a virtual call center where volunteers chat with, and receive calls from, socially isolated adults.
When you complete the Census, you help ensure that our community counts. It helps bring in federal funds directly to programs that benefit you, your family, and your community.
Need a speaker? AARP Speakers Bureau offers presentations on topics like family caregiving, fraud prevention, the 2020 U.S. census and job searching in the digital age.
AARP DC is pleased to announce that Wendellene Dupree has been selected as the recipient of the 2019 Andrus Award for Community Service, the Association’s most prestigious volunteer award.
AARP Foundation Experience Corps trains volunteers, age 50 years and over, to tutor and mentor more than 30,000 Pre-K to 3 rd grade students throughout the country. This is an excellent volunteer opportunity for adults in DC looking to get involved and make a difference in their neighborhood!
Join us on September 11, 2019, for AARP Foundation’s annual Celebration of Service Meal Pack Challenge on the National Mall. We need volunteers to help us pack 1,000,000 meals for struggling seniors in the region.
