What a week - Week Four of the Legislative session brought clarity (and heartburn) to our 2020 Budget Session. Bills crossed from one chamber to the other and are either passed or removed from consideration, allowing AARP Wyoming to concentrate on specific bills. That was certainly the case for us this week and it paid off.
AARP Wyoming is seeking volunteers eager to give back to their communities and aid others in need.
It was a tense week in both the House and Senate during week three of the 2020 Legislative Session. Contentious subjects such as gun and abortion bills were discussed. AARP was able to avoid those issues, but had a big week in its own right.
On January 7, Wyoming Governor Mark Gordon joined AARP Wyoming members for a TeleTown Hall, in which AARP dialed out to over 13,000 members in Wyoming to connect them with their Governor. Here is a summary of that call.
