AARP West Virginia and the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago are cosponsoring “Money Smart Week,” April 5-12, to help state residents stay up to speed on personal finance.
In a recent AARP survey, 92 percent of Idaho adults said they are concerned about providing personal information over the Internet. Even so, of those who have a Facebook account and are familiar with its privacy settings, one in five said they had never changed the settings.
Rules of the road change over time, as do cars and drivers. To help motorists stay confident behind the wheel, AARP Utah is recruiting volunteers to teach the new AARP Smart Driver course. The updated course is now available both in a classroom setting and online.
Health disparities between Native Americans and other Oklahomans will be a key issue at the Seventh Generation Conference, April 14-16 in Midwest City. Cosponsored by AARP Oklahoma, the conference takes its name from the Native American tradition of considering seven generations of descendants when making decisions.
As part of the Montana Financial Education Coalition, AARP Montana is cosponsoring “Financial Security for a Lifetime,” a statewide conference in Helena, April 28-29.
