AARP Pennsylvania will be in the Capitol Rotunda in Harrisburg at noon on Wednesday, April 10, for a rally to help more older adults receive services they need to remain in their homes and to press for a long-overdue update to the state’s Older Adult Protective Services Act.
If you were at the hospital and unable to speak, how would medical personnel know what kind of treatment you want or whom you want to make decisions for you?
Rhode Island Livable Home Modification grants offer eligible homeowners and renters up to $5,000 to modify residences to make them more adaptable for caregiving. The program was renewed and expanded this year, in part through the advocacy of AARP Rhode Island and its legislative volunteers.
Looking ahead to the 2020 city budget, AARP District of Columbia and the DC Senior Advisory Coalition are hosting a Lobby Day, on Tuesday, April 30, at the Wilson Building, which houses the offices of the mayor and D.C. Council.
