Sedgwick County and the city of Thornton are the newest Colorado members of the AARP Network of Age-Friendly States and Communities. They join 20 other Colorado counties or localities that are also members, including places like Carbondale. The city’s age-friendly efforts have included repairing sidewalks and placing benches around the city to provide rest stops for walkers.
The Denver Botanic Gardens is hosting its Senior Appreciation Fair on Monday, April 8 and everyone 50 and older will gain admission for just $8.50.
The Elder Care Network of Northern Colorado is presenting its third annual Elder Care Resource Day: A Day of Learning for Family Caregivers on Saturday, April 6, 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Timberline Church, 2908 S. Timberline Road in Fort Collins.
