AARP New York State Director Beth Finkel and Medicare Rights Center President Frederic Riccardi have sent a letter to Governor Hochul urging her to sign legislation that would make it easier for New Yorkers to enroll in Medicare Savings Programs (MSPs), a move that would save eligible individuals thousands of dollars a year.

Ten entities in New York won AARP Community Challenge grants, totaling $96,000. The grants are part of AARP’s Livable Communities initiative; they fund quick-turnaround projects aimed at making areas more livable for people of all ages.

It will be held from November 10 – December 2, 2023, at the Islip Arts Council Gallery, in the South Shore Mall. The art pieces should celebrate or honor those who served in our military.
