La temporada de huracanes comenzó el primero de junio y termina el 30 de noviembre. Quiera o no, ahora es el momento de prepararse. Este año, se espera que esta temporada sea activa y se esperan entre 14 y 21 tormentas con nombre y entre seis y 10 huracanes.

Jane Strommen of Fargo has been appointed to the AARP North Dakota Executive Council. Strommen currently works as a NDSU Extension Gerontology Specialist.

In North Dakota four organizations received 2022 Community Challenge grants totaling $52,000. 

One of the most important facets of our society is the internet. In today’s world, it is almost impossible to do anything without using a computer or your phone. Whether it be surfing the web, ordering groceries, or scheduling healthcare appointments, so many individuals rely on the internet for everyday activities.

One question that everyone wants to know when it comes to scams and fraud is where is the greatest risk? When people are bombarded by criminals on email, over the phone, text and online it’s hard to know where to focus. And while it’s important to take every scam attempt seriously, consumers should realize that they are particularly susceptible on social media.

The AARP Network of Age-Friendly States & Communities Friday welcomed Chatham County into the network during the County Board of Commissioners meeting in Savannah.

AARP is accepting nominations until July 15 for its 2022 Mississippi Andrus Award for Community Service, which honors 50+ Mississippians who are sharing their experience, talent, and skills to enrich the lives of their community members.
