Join us for a free virtual seminar on April 24 (6-7 pm) for real-time information, tools, and resources to help you find the right plan.
AARP is collaborating with the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse to help Wisconsinites stay active with the Walk with an Eagle program, which pairs up older adults and students for weekly walks. AARP also hosts Walk with a Doc in Milwaukee and is planning events around the state this year to promote pedestrian safety.
If people need an extra incentive to take a walk, chatting with a doctor might be the solution.
The state’s Healthy Aging Grants program is helping to increase access to services that help older residents live independently at home for longer. It is distributing $40 million across the state—part of a broader effort to address the needs of a rapidly aging population.
