During the pandemic, patients like the convenience of telemedicine, more skeptical doctors are quickly embracing it, and insurers have eased their billing requirements for providers.
The use of telehealth—working with patients remotely using video, patient portals or texting—worked well during weeks of stay-at-home restrictions.
AARP is working to make communities across Missouri more livable for residents of all ages. It’s supporting revamped transit stops, the installation of exercise equipment in public parks to promote healthy living, and a home renovation designed to let older adults live independently for as long as possible.
AARP North Carolina is committed to helping rural residents age in place.
St. Joseph County, which includes South Bend, is looking for ways to boost access to affordable housing and public transit, among other efforts to make the area more livable for residents of all ages.
