Mike Tomasko of West Fargo has been named the new state president of AARP in North Dakota. Tomasko has served on the AARP North Dakota Executive Council since June 2012.

Washington, DC – Last week, Robert Palombo of Southern Shores participated in the graduation ceremony for AARP’s Volunteer Leadership Institute or VLI.

Three local volunteer leaders from AARP Massachusetts participated in the graduation ceremony Friday, Feb. 20, 2015, from AARP’s Volunteer Leadership Institute (VLI).

Larry Saxxon of San Francisco, a member of AARP California's Executive Council, graduated today from AARP’s Volunteer Leadership Institute (VLI). This is the third class of VLI, dubbed the “Digital VLI.” It was specially designed to appeal to the new breed of volunteer – those who are tech savvy, younger, and who may still be in the workforce. Larry was one of 33 exceptional volunteers from across the country who completed the course.

AARP Colorado volunteer Irene Martinez Jordan is being honored in Miami by Hispanicize, a national recognition of Americans of Hispanic descent who have made great strides in their fields to improve the lives of other Latinos.

AARP Colorado recognizes the contributions of the late Cesar Chavez with its sponsorship of a celebration and parade in his memory to be held March 28, 2015. The march will commence at Regis University at 10 a.m. and end in celebration at Cesar Chavez Park on West 41st Avenue at Tennyson Street in Denver.
