AARP Virginia is exciting to invite people age 50+ from across Hampton Roads for the 21 st Annual Healthy Living Conference! The event will be held at the King of Glory Lutheran Church, located on 4897 Longhill Road, Williamsburg, VA 23188, on April 6 from 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Senior Connections is currently seeking input from adults ages 60+ via surveys and interviews. Your responses will be incorporated into a mural design with the theme “Recipes for Life.”
The holidays should be full of joy and cheer, but AARP Virginia warns that the season may be rife with scams.
Winter is a difficult time for senior home-bound neighbors, some having to choose between heat and food. AARP Virginia and LOA want to help make their lives easier by ensuring their shelves are stocked with soups and other non-perishable food items. All it takes to make a difference is to start a collection then drop off the non-perishable items to a drop off site from February 6-10.

AARP Virginia is dedicated to help end the fight against hunger. In order to do this we have dedicated the month of September to focusing on fighting hunger in all areas of Virginia with events all across the state.
AARP Blacksb urg chapter and the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine (VCOM) will conduct the 2016 Health and Wellness Fair on September 14th at the Christiansburg Recreation Center. You are invited to join the approximately 100 exhibitors and 500+ citizens expected to participate. This event will focus on citizen participation and healthy living. Successful aging is not just about medical conditions and their management, but about living a full and engaged life and how a community makes that possible.
Senior Services of Alexandria is partnering with the City of Alexandria for the 2nd Annual Senior Academy beginning on Wednesday, September 7 and continuing every Wednesday through September 28 from 10 am to Noon.
