AARP Connecticut’s Virtual U Faith in the Neighborhood series is part of a collaboration between AARP and the Hartford International University. The one-hour sessions are designed to promote cross-cultural understanding and delve into topics such as prayer, food and dating customs.

The annual program aims to make local communities in Connecticut more livable
For nine years, AARP Connecticut has been offering AARP member scholarships to enroll in Encore!Connecticut, a nationally-recognized program that assists professionals and managers age 50 and older transition their corporate experience and expertise to full and part-time managerial positions in the Connecticut nonprofit sector. Over 100 Connecticut corporate professionals have successfully moved from corporate to nonprofit careers through Encore!Connecticut.
AARP Connecticut will work with lawmakers during the state’s 2022 legislative session to support and advocate on a variety of important policies and issues that affect residents and their families.
Andrus Award for Community Service Honors Outstanding Volunteers Age 50-Plus
AARP Connecticut has selected six recipients for its fourth Livable Communities Grant Program dedicated to fund quick-action projects in Connecticut communities that will help make immediate improvements or jumpstart long-term progress that will support residents. AARP Connecticut has funded 22 projects since the inception of the grant program in 2018.
