If you have medications in your home that are no longer needed or expired, AARP Long Island encourages you to dispose of them safely this November.

AARP NY is excited to partner once again with the Rochester Broadway Theater League (RBTL) in the touring presentation of “Beautiful - The Carole King Musical”! On January 22-23, come enjoy the true story of one woman’s journey from teenage songwriter to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in the inspirational play that takes you on a musical journey of all her pop classics and timeless hits, including “You’ve Got a Friend”, “One Fine Day”, “Up on the Roof”, “You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feeling”, “Will You Love Me Tomorrow”, and “Natural Woman”.

AARP New York is partnering with the Rockefeller Institute of Government to work on solutions to disparities in the areas of health, financial security and housing that affect New Yorkers of color 50 and older.
Burt Freeman of Manhattan was presented Monday with AARP’s most prestigious volunteer award for community service. Freeman, who founded the My Own Book program, has been selected by AARP New York, the nonprofit organization for people 50 and older, to receive its 2018 Andrus Award for Community Service.
