AARP celebra el Mes Nacional de la Herencia Hispana al copatrocinar el festival anual de People en Español en el Jacob Javits Center de Nueva York, el sábado 15 y domingo 16 de octubre. El festival incluye presentaciones de músicos, actores y comediantes latinos, incluidos Daddy Yankee, América Ferrera, John Leguizamo y Thalía. AARP tendrá un quiosco en el evento, y los participantes del festival podrán tener la oportunidad de conocer a una celebridad sorpresa. "Será una maravillosa oportunidad para que nuestra comunidad reconozca el legado cultural de los latinos en nuestro estado", dijo Yvette Martinez, portavoz de AARP Nueva York.
